Prambanan jazz festival 2019
Prambanan Jazz Festival has entered its 5th year, and this time it lasted for 3 days, 5, 6 and 7 July 2019 in the Prambanan Temple Court Complex in Yogyakarta.
This music festival is one of the most prestigious and awaited music festivals in Indonesia. The combination of international and domestic artists plus the location at Prambanan Temple makes this festival almost incomparable.
The annual festival will continue to be held as a form of long-term synergy in an effort to introduce the world of Indonesian tourism, especially Prambanan Temple and its surroundings to the international level as a form of cultural diplomacy in new strengths to strengthen national branding.
This festival will also be an alternative destination for music concerts that show the wisdom of local culture to the global stage by making the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia from the 9th century as the venue for the show. Prambanan Jazz is a performance art that combines art, music and culture. Hopefully this cultural event celebration will always inspire us, inspire us to have a better life.
Some of the world’s musicians who will enliven this event are Calum Scott, Yanni, Brian McKnight and of course will feature a lot of Indonesian jazz musicians
Roro Jonggrang stage
(Special Show Stage)
The concept of the combination of 2 masterpieces will be very visible on the Rorojonggrang Stage. The grandeur of the world cultural heritage sites of Prambanan Temple and world-class music combined into a unified show on the Special Show Stage. Different from Hanoman, Stage Rorojonggrang presents the appearance of international musicians with more special and exclusive performance concepts. Viewers can enjoy shows with seating settings according to the class chosen. The Rorojonggrang stage will take place from 21.00 to 00.00 in the Brahma Square area of the Prambanan Temple complex.
(Festival Show Stage)
Prambanan Jazz Festival still carries the concept of 2 main stages. The first is the Hanoman Stage. With the concept of the festival show, the Rorojonggrang Stage will present more domestic musicians with a variety of musical genres that are presented. The selection of these musicians is based on several aspects including the best works in the year of holding and good audience appreciation for the works of national musicians. With the hope that Stage Hanoman will reach a wider audience segment. The Hanoman Stage will take place from 15.30 to 21.00 in the area of Wisnu Field Prambanan Temple complex.
As part and commitment of Prambanan Jazz Festival in building cultural culture in modern society, this year will still feature culinary tourism at Kangen Market at the Stage Show Festival area. Kangen Market as a blend of culinary tourism especially Yogyakarta which will bring together the old and new generations. For the old generation, Kangen Market will present the romance of the past, while for today’s young generation, Pasar Kangen will present the culinary sensations of the Yogyakarta tradition of the past. Kangen Market is a form of Prambanan Jazz’s commitment to always support local traditions.
The visitor segment that is present at Prambanan Jazz extends beyond all segments. In 2 years of holding, Prambanan Jazz added the Kids Area facility at the Festival Show area. With the hope that parents can still enjoy music shows and their children have activities while in the Festival area.
